Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute Benjamin Terwenhout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bobby Ericsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacobus Rogiers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tom Keuppens went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Jodoigne booed when FC The Smokers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brecht Dewolf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bastian Van de cauter struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Bobby Ericsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jodoigne. Jacobus Rogiers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Keuppens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Jodoigne's goal looked a bit too open when Tom Keuppens came free, but Jacobus Rogiers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kobe Tilens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Jacobus Rogiers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kobe Tilens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Jodoigne getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Nick Stercks hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tom Keuppens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, FC The Smokers's Kobe Tilens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacobus Rogiers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Jodoigne's Jacobus Rogiers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Keuppens in the 60th minute of play. Jacq Calewaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Benjamin Terwenhout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The corner led Jodoigne's Nick Stercks to fire away a dangerous shot which Bobby Ericsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 75 played minutes FC The Smokers got a freekick which was hit by Jacq Calewaerts. Nick Stercks took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bobby Ericsson. FC The Smokers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Kobe Tilens managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC The Smokers's supporters rose to their feet, but Kobe Tilens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobus Rogiers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 80 minutes into the match, FC The Smokers's Kobe Tilens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobus Rogiers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bobby Ericsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Terwenhout in the 84th minute of play. Kobe Tilens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Etienne Peten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobus Rogiers having to interfere. Kobe Tilens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Jacobus Rogiers made a huge save.
