If William Render had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jannick Henskens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herbert Bernaerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 10thth minute of the game Oswald Van Caels who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Spruithoek's Jannick Henskens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of KV Wanzele booed when Spruithoek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ben Van hoegaerde didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oswald Van Caels struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Jannick Henskens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KV Wanzele. Jannick Henskens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Herbert Bernaerts went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. William Render's late challenge caught a KV Wanzele's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. William Render helped the player get up and apologised. William Render hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Oswald Van Caels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jannick Henskens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Rolf De Winter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute of the match Raf Haentjens sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jannick Henskens skillfully saved the ball. In the 24th minute Oswald Van Caels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannick Henskens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of KV Wanzele booed when Spruithoek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Selleslags didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dimitri Kloots hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Spruithoek's Jannick Henskens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Bernaerts in the 35th minute of play. The KV Wanzele fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when KV Wanzele's Oswald Van Caels looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Herbert Bernaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jannick Henskens having to interfere. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Oswald Van Caels sped through Spruithoek's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jannick Henskens. If Oswald Van Caels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Spruithoek players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KV Wanzele were winning 0-3.

Herbert Bernaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jannick Henskens having to interfere. In the 59thth minute of the game Oswald Van Caels who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Spruithoek's Jannick Henskens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jannick Henskens made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Oswald Van Caels sent off a good shot on target. 62 minutes into the match, Herbert Bernaerts notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Spruithoek's Jannick Henskens. Jannick Henskens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. KV Wanzele's Herbert Bernaerts got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diego Rogiers kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute KV Wanzele were awarded a corner. Raf Haentjens went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Raf Haentjens got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jannick Henskens quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Geert-Jan Boegaert hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Spruithoek's zone, Herbert Bernaerts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jannick Henskens came out of the goal and Herbert Bernaerts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the match, Spruithoek's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Bernaerts came free, but Jannick Henskens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Fred Selleslags hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute, Raf Haentjens sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Spruithoek's Jannick Henskens didn't even have to move. Herbert Bernaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jannick Henskens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oswald Van Caels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jannick Henskens having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oswald Van Caels got free with Jannick Henskens in the 100th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. KV Wanzele played a much better game than Spruithoek and deserved their victory. The Spruithoek players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
