Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tim Neesens started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Meuleneinde's goalkeeper Frits Van Aghten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 6 minutes into the game, Spruithoek's Ben Van hoegaerde nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frits Van Aghten made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 9th match minute, Spruithoek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Selleslags to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, Ewout de Cijser had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jannick Henskens. Spruithoek's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ewout de Cijser was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 14 minutes into the match, William Render notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Meuleneinde's Frits Van Aghten. Frits Van Aghten was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 22 minutes into the game, Fabien Wigghers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Spruithoek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meuleneinde the free kick. Fabien Wigghers hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Meuleneinde's Tim Neesens got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 29 played minutes Meuleneinde got a freekick which was hit by Tim Liebrechts. Frits Van Aghten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Render in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Dimitri Kloots hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. William Render sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ben Van hoegaerde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. William Render fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frits Van Aghten having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ben Van hoegaerde to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ewout de Cijser in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jannick Henskens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th minute Ewout de Cijser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannick Henskens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Spruithoek's goal looked a bit too open when Tim Neesens came free, but Jannick Henskens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, Fred Selleslags hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jannick Henskens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ewout de Cijser went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Spruithoek defense, Ewout de Cijser kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jannick Henskens. The Spruithoek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jannick Henskens should have stopped the shot. Tim Neesens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jannick Henskens having to interfere. Frits Van Aghten made an important save on a dangerous shot by William Render in the 73rd minute. Ben Van hoegaerde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jannick Henskens came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Meuleneinde's Tim Neesens. But to his dismay, Tim Neesens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. After a rather tough play, Meuleneinde's Christofere Hoes got a free kick in the 89th minute. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by William Render got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 94 minutes into the match, Meuleneinde's goalkeeper Frits Van Aghten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by William Render. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Selleslags got free with Frits Van Aghten in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
