Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dany Suteweij started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Manu Suteweij notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of KAA Sint-Michiels's Klaus Wenderickx. Klaus Wenderickx was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Dany Suteweij managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc De-Haan Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Dany Suteweij was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klaus Wenderickx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manu Suteweij received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Klaus Wenderickx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Klaus Wenderickx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Huybrechts, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manu Suteweij in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Klaus Wenderickx saved KAA Sint-Michiels from getting behind. Klaus Wenderickx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dany Suteweij in the 24th minute of play. Fransesco Wenderix charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fransesco Wenderix the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to KAA Sint-Michiels getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Fransesco Wenderix hit a great ball. KAA Sint-Michiels's Klaus Wenderickx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dany Suteweij in the 31st minute of play. Klaus Wenderickx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dany Suteweij in the 33rd minute of the match. Manu Suteweij fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klaus Wenderickx having to interfere. Arthur Huybrechts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Klaus Wenderickx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dominick Wouqier got free with Josu Padriña in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of KAA Sint-Michiels booed when Fc De-Haan Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre Van der Vorst didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Laurent Peers scored 1-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Josu Padriña, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th minute of the game, Karl Isebergh landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 59 minutes, Arthur Huybrechts mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fc De-Haan Academy and the KAA Sint-Michiels players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of KAA Sint-Michiels booed when Fc De-Haan Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Huybrechts didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1-2 became the score in the 68th minute when Dany Suteweij elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Josu Padriña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominick Wouqier, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 74 minutes into the game, when Kenny Deville put in a rough tackle. After 74 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fc De-Haan Academy! After some careless play in the KAA Sint-Michiels defense, Manu Suteweij kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Klaus Wenderickx. The KAA Sint-Michiels fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Klaus Wenderickx should have stopped the shot. After having played for 85 minutes, Arthur Huybrechts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc De-Haan Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arthur Huybrechts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Manu Suteweij had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in KAA Sint-Michiels's zone, Manu Suteweij stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Klaus Wenderickx came out of the goal and Manu Suteweij tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
