Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Thys Verheyden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Gijselinkx in the 3rd minute of play. When Daniel Gijselinkx came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the FC Wielsbeke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Gijselinkx couldn't finish the play. In the 8th minute, Jonathan Peters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrew Owerckx got free with Thys Verheyden in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jacobus Ketelers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrew Owerckx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thys Verheyden having to interfere. Jacobus Ketelers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andrew Owerckx received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Thys Verheyden came out and tried to block the shot, but Andrew Owerckx slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 38th minute. Andrew Owerckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 played minutes Aveschoot got a freekick which was hit by Robin Konings. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Gijselinkx made a kick off. Andrew Owerckx struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Thys Verheyden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Wielsbeke. After a rather tough play, Aveschoot's Jonathan Peters got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Aveschoot's Thys Verheyden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Gijselinkx in the 55th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Andrew Owerckx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thys Verheyden. Aveschoot's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrew Owerckx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 65thth minute of the game Daniel Gijselinkx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aveschoot's Thys Verheyden was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aveschoot's Jacobus Ketelers got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute of the match Remie Thielemans sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ruud Fierens skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Stein Van Beylen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruud Fierens was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. When Jacobus Ketelers came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Aveschoot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacobus Ketelers couldn't finish the play. Jacobus Ketelers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruud Fierens having to interfere. Arthur Justens kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stein Van Beylen in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruud Fierens saved FC Wielsbeke from getting behind. After a rather tough play, FC Wielsbeke's Gert Verhelst got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 93rd minute, Aveschoot's Jacobus Ketelers ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ruud Fierens. Ruud Fierens yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Wielsbeke had won after a very even match.
