Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Arnaud Wils made the kick off which started today's match. After 9 minutes, Goffrey Van Looy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KFC Geer and the RSC Mitswege players grew even worse after the yellow card. 10 minutes into the match, KFC Geer's goalkeeper Edgard Van Goitsenhoven had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Glenn De Backer. In the 12th minute, RSC Mitswege's Josef Dams ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edgard Van Goitsenhoven. Edgard Van Goitsenhoven yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Ruben De Maerschalck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Alexandre De Cat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19thth minute of the game Ruben De Maerschalck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RSC Mitswege's Alexandre De Cat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, RSC Mitswege's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaud Wils came free, but Alexandre De Cat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, RSC Mitswege's Dimitri Van der Weijden got a free kick in the 22nd minute. If Arnaud Wils had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute Josef Dams shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Van Goitsenhoven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Glenn De Backer notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of KFC Geer's Edgard Van Goitsenhoven. Edgard Van Goitsenhoven was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arnaud Wils's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre De Cat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of KFC Geer booed when RSC Mitswege was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacq Verdeyen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute Ruben De Maerschalck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre De Cat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. KFC Geer's Edgard Van Goitsenhoven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josef Dams in the 40th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josef Dams made a kick off. Edgard Van Goitsenhoven didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Glenn De Backer went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Dimitri Blanchaert was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 66th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Josef Dams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruben De Maerschalck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to RSC Mitswege getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Dimitri Van der Weijden hit a great ball. Ruben De Maerschalck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre De Cat having to interfere. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Josef Dams sped through KFC Geer's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edgard Van Goitsenhoven. Dimitri Van der Weijden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgard Van Goitsenhoven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josef Dams, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After having played for 88 minutes, Paul De Neuter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Geer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul De Neuter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Timothy De Bougne charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Timothy De Bougne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 89 played minutes RSC Mitswege got a freekick which was hit by Timothy De Bougne. After 93 minutes of play, RSC Mitswege's Josef Dams made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard Van Goitsenhoven was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The RSC Mitswege fans cheered their team off the field, for while KFC Geer had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
