Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alan Mesmakers made the kick off which started today's match. If Evert-Jan Meeus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 7 minutes, Alan Mesmakers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Patro Eisden Maasmechelen and the Club Wetteren players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Alan Mesmakers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute, Danny De Worteler reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Isidro Calisto. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 13th match minute, Patro Eisden Maasmechelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evert-Jan Meeus to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Danny De Worteler came free, but Isidro Calisto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Evert-Jan Meeus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's Isidro Calisto got control of the ball when Danny De Worteler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Isidro Calisto made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Dieter Baeten sent off a good shot on target. Gill Wolput lost his temper 22 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Patro Eisden Maasmechelen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club Wetteren:s goal. Isidro Calisto went to the wrong direction when Jean Van den Bossche was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joop Huyghebaert in the 28th minute of play forced Club Wetteren's goalkeeper Diedrik Engelbert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diedrik Engelbert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joop Huyghebaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the game, Club Wetteren's Dieter Baeten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isidro Calisto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Joop Huyghebaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Ruud Aelemans came free, but Isidro Calisto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidro Calisto came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Wetteren's Dieter Baeten. But to his dismay, Dieter Baeten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Club Wetteren's Diedrik Engelbert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacque Devaux in the 48th minute of play.

After a defensive mix-up in Club Wetteren's zone, Evert-Jan Meeus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diedrik Engelbert came out of the goal and Evert-Jan Meeus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 55 minutes into the match, Club Wetteren's goalkeeper Diedrik Engelbert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tommas Van Bombergen. Isidro Calisto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny De Worteler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danny De Worteler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isidro Calisto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Tommas Van Bombergen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommas Van Bombergen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Tommas Van Bombergen came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Patro Eisden Maasmechelen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommas Van Bombergen couldn't finish the play. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's Isidro Calisto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny De Worteler in the 67th minute of play. Club Wetteren were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jean Van den Bossche took the corner. Isidro Calisto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny De Worteler in the 75th minute of play. Jacque Devaux received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Diedrik Engelbert came out and tried to block the shot, but Jacque Devaux slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 78th minute. Tommas Van Bombergen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Diedrik Engelbert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the game, Dieter Baeten cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Isidro Calisto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny De Worteler in the 88th minute of play forced Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's goalkeeper Isidro Calisto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert-Jan Meeus in the 95th minute of play forced Club Wetteren's goalkeeper Diedrik Engelbert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Club Wetteren players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
