Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Gunther Stroobans came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by GentFC's Sebastian Zyskowski. But to his dismay, Sebastian Zyskowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. GentFC's Hudson Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yannik Asselberghs in the 6th minute of play. Nivelles's Gunther Stroobans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Nivelles from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brent-Jan Van de cauter got free with Gunther Stroobans in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute GentFC were awarded a corner. Marten Pancken went to the cornerflag to take it. Marten Pancken made a great header on GentFC's corner, it was just that Nivelles's Gunther Stroobans managed to reach the ball for a save. Gunther Stroobans was a little too slow when Brent-Jan Van de cauter got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Brent-Jan Van de cauter kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gunther Stroobans. That made the score 3-0 in the 16 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Ferdinand Mergea put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gunther Stroobans. In the 22nd minute, Marten Pancken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brent-Jan Van de cauter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Gunther Stroobans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Nivelles's goalkeeper Gunther Stroobans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brent-Jan Van de cauter. With a little luck, Nivelles's Gunther Stroobans got control of the ball when Brent-Jan Van de cauter tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brent-Jan Van de cauter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Nivelles defense, Ferdinand Mergea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gunther Stroobans. The Nivelles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gunther Stroobans should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Nivelles's goalkeeper Gunther Stroobans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Brent-Jan Van de cauter kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gunther Stroobans. That made the score 6-0 in the 45 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yannik Asselberghs to make the kick off. Mathijs Verstuyft hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 52nd minute of the match Jeremey De Ryck sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gunther Stroobans skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nivelles's zone, Brent-Jan Van de cauter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gunther Stroobans came out of the goal and Brent-Jan Van de cauter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute, Maxime Dauwe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maxime Dauwe kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. If Brent-Jan Van de cauter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 60 minutes into the match, Nivelles's goal looked a bit too open when Brent-Jan Van de cauter came free, but Gunther Stroobans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute Brent-Jan Van de cauter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunther Stroobans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GentFC's Brent-Jan Van de cauter got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brent-Jan Van de cauter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 67 minutes into the game, one of Nivelles:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Nivelles's Gunther Stroobans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brent-Jan Van de cauter in the 73rd minute of play. Gunther Stroobans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brent-Jan Van de cauter in the 76th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the game, Tugay Kerimoglu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Gunther Stroobans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Nivelles's Yannik Asselberghs got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute of the match Marten Pancken sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gunther Stroobans skillfully saved the ball. Brent-Jan Van de cauter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maxime Dauwe came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hudson Costa could save by the left post. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by GentFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ritchie Van der Willeghem was slow to take the kick. During this time Nivelles's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Ritchie Van der Willeghem almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but GentFC's Hudson Costa did a great save. When the referee ended the match the GentFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
