In the 5th minute De Matoekoes were awarded a corner. Roger Diependaele went to the cornerflag to take it. The Bouillon fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Bouillon's Malte Brogren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 12th match minute, De Matoekoes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benne Arnoets to maneuver through the defense. Malte Brogren's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Nicolaas Versluys skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. De Matoekoes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. After some careless play in the De Matoekoes defense, Hans Lanen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicolaas Versluys. The De Matoekoes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicolaas Versluys should have stopped the shot. Nicolaas Versluys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Lanen, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When Hans Lanen came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Bouillon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hans Lanen couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Hans Lanen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicolaas Versluys was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. There was no doubt that Bouillon were the better team. Bouillon's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
