The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Prehn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mittergoming's Thilo Schriebl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Kalweit in the 55th minute of play. Johannes Notthoff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee ignored Mittergoming's protests and gave Oliver Polster a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th match minute, Mittergoming was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Polster to maneuver through the defense. If Alex Kalweit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Neutal booed when Mittergoming was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Marke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite being the better team, Neutal failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
