After some careless play in the SV Mauerkirchen defense, Alex Trares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mirko Winnerl. The SV Mauerkirchen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mirko Winnerl should have stopped the shot. If Hans-Peter Aufhauser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mirko Winnerl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Trares, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Alex Trares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Mirko Winnerl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rd minute Hans-Peter Aufhauser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Gottschalk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Frentzen in the 38th minute of play forced SV Mauerkirchen's goalkeeper Mirko Winnerl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Alsergrund IF booed when SV Mauerkirchen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harald Hackert didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee showed Harald Hackert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. But to his dismay, Hans-Peter Aufhauser quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 58th match minute, SV Mauerkirchen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Peters to maneuver through the defense. Jan Frentzen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mirko Winnerl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Trares's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Marco Gottschalk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Breitenbacher in the 64th minute of the match. If Jan Frentzen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Trares in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mirko Winnerl saved SV Mauerkirchen from getting behind. Alex Breitenbacher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mirko Winnerl acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 72nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Thorsten Paetsch. 73 minutes into the game, Robert Peters was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SV Mauerkirchen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alsergrund IF the free kick. The supporters of Alsergrund IF booed when SV Mauerkirchen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Peters didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mirko Winnerl came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Alsergrund IF's Jan Frentzen. But to his dismay, Jan Frentzen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. The SV Mauerkirchen fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Alsergrund IF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
