Tom Burgstaller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 33 played minutes Middlesbrough got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Gerber. If Ulrich Pätzold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johannes Kofler during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tom Burgstaller stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ulrich Pätzold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulrich Pätzold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niclas Mierzwa having to interfere. Jörg Holst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 62 played minutes Middlesbrough got a freekick which was hit by Philipp Bayer. Niclas Mierzwa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörg Holst, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Philipp Bayer kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. If Jörg Holst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Jörg Holst left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Villacher Fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Villacher Fc's Ulrich Pätzold got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tom Burgstaller struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Jan-Oliver Oberleitner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Middlesbrough. When the final whistle sounded Villacher Fc left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Middlesbrough.
