Steffen Koslow recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute of the match Sebastian Nörenberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bastian Axten showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Harald Harneit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jürgen Hörtnagel, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When Jürgen Hörtnagel came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Lustenau FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jürgen Hörtnagel couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Felix Wimmer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kay Böhm during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Felix Wimmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Felix Wimmer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Harald Harneit. That made the score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. Bastian Schramm might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bastian Axten. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bastian Schramm ran back to his position shaking his head. Bastian Axten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steffen Koslow, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. If Bastian Schramm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bastian Schramm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bastian Axten having to interfere. When Steffen Koslow came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the FC Herp Derp fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steffen Koslow couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the game, Björn-Torben Schilder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Herp Derp's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lustenau FSV the free kick. After 47 played minutes FC Herp Derp got a freekick which was hit by Björn-Torben Schilder.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jürgen Hörtnagel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bastian Axten acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 54th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Marcel Dospel. Steffen Koslow might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bastian Axten. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Steffen Koslow ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Wimmer in the 60th minute of play forced FC Herp Derp's goalkeeper Harald Harneit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 62 minutes, Joachim Ruthus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Herp Derp and the Lustenau FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. Harald Harneit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jürgen Hörtnagel in the 64th minute of the match. Felix Wimmer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Harald Harneit having to make a save. When Lustenau FSV's Jürgen Hörtnagel in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Herp Derp's goalie prevented a goal. After 71 minutes of play, Lustenau FSV's Jürgen Hörtnagel made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harald Harneit was left in no man's land by his defense there! Harald Harneit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jürgen Hörtnagel in the 76th minute of the match. Bastian Axten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steffen Koslow, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. An unexpected shot in the 82nd minute by Steffen Koslow got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 84th minute, Gerrit Märs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernd Winand kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Herp Derp players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lustenau FSV.
