Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ged Blewitt got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Cannock's Ged Blewitt got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Will Le Tissier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Hugh Greenwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Will Le Tissier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugh Greenwood having to interfere. Titan's Al Beattie suffered a sore thigh after 11 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Des Hawkins charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Des Hawkins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Cannock's Des Hawkins got a free kick in the 12th minute. After 15 played minutes Cannock got a freekick which was hit by Dominic Barkley. When Luke Farmer came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Titan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luke Farmer couldn't finish the play. Johnathan Read kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Luke Glanvill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Titan's goal looked a bit too open when Ged Blewitt came free, but Clive Spink reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dominic Barkley kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Titan's Will Le Tissier got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute Will Le Tissier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugh Greenwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 36 minutes, Luke Glanvill managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Titan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luke Glanvill was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 37 played minutes Titan got a freekick which was hit by Johnathan Read. After 40 played minutes Titan got a freekick which was hit by Don Styles. In the 44th match minute, Cannock was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominic Barkley to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Will Le Tissier made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Denzil Barr was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Titan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cannock the free kick. After 54 played minutes, Cannock's Stuart Bray shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Clive Spink came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cannock reached it. 62 minutes into the match, Titan's goal looked a bit too open when Des Hawkins came free, but Clive Spink reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Titan's Will Le Tissier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hugh Greenwood made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 69th minute, Will Le Tissier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gary Riley came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Clive Spink could save by the left post. Clive Spink made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Ralf Revell sent off a good shot on target. Clive Spink showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ged Blewitt, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Will Le Tissier in the 77th minute of play forced Cannock's goalkeeper Hugh Greenwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gary Riley kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Hugh Greenwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Will Le Tissier in the 82nd minute of play. Johnathan Read sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Titan getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Will Le Tissier hit a great ball.
