Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bogdan Popovchenko made the kick off which started today's match. Kostyantyn Batrachenko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demjan Yermolenko in the 3rd minute of play. Konotop FC Zoria's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Bogdan Popovchenko scored to the left of an out of position Olexiy Lypovyj, making the score, 1-0. Olexiy Lypovyj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogdan Popovchenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. With his leg Olexiy Lypovyj managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Nizhyn's Vitaliy Khymchenko fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bogdan Popovchenko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Olexiy Lypovyj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Valentyn Gordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arsen Slyusar struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Kostyantyn Batrachenko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Konotop FC Zoria. After a defensive mix-up in Konotop FC Zoria's zone, Bogdan Dikhtyar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olexiy Lypovyj came out of the goal and Bogdan Dikhtyar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the match, Konotop FC Zoria's goalkeeper Olexiy Lypovyj had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vitaliy Khymchenko. Valentyn Gordon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Demjan Yermolenko's late challenge caught a Nizhyn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Demjan Yermolenko helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Demjan Yermolenko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Bogdan Popovchenko came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Nizhyn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bogdan Popovchenko couldn't finish the play. Vitaliy Khymchenko in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Olexiy Lypovyj, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valentyn Gordon made a kick off. Arsen Slyusar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kostyantyn Batrachenko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute Valentyn Gordon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kostyantyn Batrachenko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Valentyn Gordon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kostyantyn Batrachenko, 1-1. If Bogdan Popovchenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olexiy Lypovyj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Popovchenko in the 70th minute of play. Olexiy Lypovyj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitaliy Khymchenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 minutes, Stanislav Dekhtyaruk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Konotop FC Zoria and the Nizhyn players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Konotop FC Zoria getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Stanislav Dekhtyaruk hit a great ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Valentyn Gordon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Konotop FC Zoria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentyn Gordon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Nizhyn's goalkeeper Kostyantyn Batrachenko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arsen Slyusar. After a rather tough play, Nizhyn's Bogdan Dikhtyar got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Valentyn Gordon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Olexiy Lypovyj was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 95 minutes into the match, Konotop FC Zoria's Valentyn Gordon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kostyantyn Batrachenko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Konotop FC Zoria's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
