Ali Okergun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdulaziz Arısan's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. A collision led to Sögüt FK getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ayvaz Erol hit a great ball. Emrah Mengü took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Suphi Hendekli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Gümüşhane Spor getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Sérgio Assis hit a great ball. Gümüşhane Spor's Emrah Mengü played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Suphi Hendekli in the 18th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Yakup Karaoğlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Gümüşhane Spor getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Yaser Mahçupyan hit a great ball. Emrah Mengü made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ayvaz Erol in the 29th minute of play. Emrah Mengü showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Suphi Hendekli in the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Abdulaziz Arısan notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Sögüt FK's Ali Okergun. Ali Okergun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abdulaziz Arısan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kemal Yanık recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute Kemal Yanık shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Okergun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match Varol Ökmener sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ali Okergun skillfully saved the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Suphi Hendekli to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Abdulaziz Arısan put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ali Okergun. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samet Şiraz during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute, Samet Şiraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gümüşhane Spor's Kemal Yanık in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 67th minute, Altuğ Özkoc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Gümüşhane Spor's zone, Altuğ Özkoc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emrah Mengü came out of the goal and Altuğ Özkoc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Abdulaziz Arısan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 79 minutes into the match, Kemal Yanık had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ali Okergun. Sögüt FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kemal Yanık was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Gümüşhane Spor's Abdulaziz Arısan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ali Okergun. That made the score 0-5 after 82 minutes of play. In the 95th minute, Abdulaziz Arısan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute, Suphi Hendekli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Gümüşhane Spor could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sögüt FK throughout the match.
