Cezmi Yeler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yücel Kalhan having to interfere. Yücel Kalhan made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Cezmi Yeler sent off a good shot on target. Merinos JK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ahmet Ege Okcan in the 10th minute. A well done corner resulted in Suat Ünlüer drilling the ball in to score 1-0 behind BAYRAMPAŞA SK's goalkeeper. Ardahan Uygun hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kıraç Özdoğal in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fedai Üner saved Merinos JK from getting behind. 21 minutes into the game, Cezmi Yeler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Yücel Kalhan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Merinos JK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of BAYRAMPAŞA SK:s goal. Ardahan Uygun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fedai Üner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kıraç Özdoğal, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ata Erakıncı in the 39th minute of play forced BAYRAMPAŞA SK's goalkeeper Yücel Kalhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cezmi Yelers short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Yücel Kalhan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

Merinos JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cezmi Yeler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 61st minute, Bozkurt Cebeci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cezmi Yeler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Cezmi Yeler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yücel Kalhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merinos JK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
