In the 11th minute Işıkalp Akağan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeynel Işıklı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Işıkalp Akağan in the 17th minute of play forced FCBarcelona's goalkeeper Zeynel Işıklı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 21 minutes into the game, when Musa Birge put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in tLg Football Club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! The audience was convinced that Güngör Şinas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rüknettin Orgunalp was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. FCBarcelona's Kenan Yeltekin got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half FCBarcelona were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mehmet Hakkı Beyazit to make the kick off. If Kenan Yeltekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute Mehmet Hakkı Beyazit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeynel Işıklı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, FCBarcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Hakkı Beyazit came free, but Zeynel Işıklı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FCBarcelona getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Kılıçalp Muhtar hit a great ball. Cihangir Sertaç's late challenge caught a tLg Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cihangir Sertaç helped the player get up and apologised. Balamir Kudret was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 72nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With his leg Rüknettin Orgunalp managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when FCBarcelona's Kenan Yeltekin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 76th minute, Güngör Şinas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rüknettin Orgunalp. The goal made the score 1-3. After having played for 80 minutes, Ergin Bülbül managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. tLg Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ergin Bülbül was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kenan Yeltekin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rüknettin Orgunalp having to interfere. When Mehmet Hakkı Beyazit came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the tLg Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Hakkı Beyazit couldn't finish the play. Zeynel Işıklı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Hakkı Beyazit in the 91st minute of play. Akil Tacim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Zeynel Işıklı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kılıçalp Muhtar kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FCBarcelona eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
