When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Baran Bilge Zağanos sped through Kayserispor's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Yağız Doğanay. When Avni İlsak fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kayserispor's protests and gave Avni İlsak a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Kayserispor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Avni İlsak to maneuver through the defense. Yağız Doğanay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Şerafettin Taykara's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Asım Akçakan in the 25th minute of play forced Kayserispor's goalkeeper Yağız Doğanay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Baran Bilge Zağanos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Asım Akçakan in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yağız Doğanay saved Kayserispor from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Kayserispor's zone, Baran Bilge Zağanos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yağız Doğanay came out of the goal and Baran Bilge Zağanos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baran Bilge Zağanos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Yağız Doğanay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the game, Arif Bilge Oruk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cerit's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kayserispor the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cerit's Arif Bilge Oruk got a free kick in the 41st minute. Ahmet Asım Akçakan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yağız Doğanay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Baran Bilge Zağanos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yağız Doğanay. Kayserispor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baran Bilge Zağanos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After the first half Cerit were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ahmet Asım Akçakan was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Cerit's Arif Bilge Oruk got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Kayserispor's Abdulaziz Evcimen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Kayserispor booed when Cerit was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kağan İdilkurt didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner led Kayserispor's Abdulaziz Evcimen to fire away a dangerous shot which Öztürk Yiğitcan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Baran Bilge Zağanos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Asım Akçakan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Halil İbrahim Sefik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Yağız Doğanay made a huge save. Öztürk Yiğitcan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hızır Tamay's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Öztürk Yiğitcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hızır Tamay in the 80th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Şerafettin Taykara during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cerit's Şerafettin Taykara got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Abdulaziz Evcimen, 82 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 88th minute, Baran Bilge Zağanos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Cerit defense, Aysan Aybar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Öztürk Yiğitcan. The Cerit fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Öztürk Yiğitcan should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle sounded Cerit left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kayserispor.
