The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zekai Ömür fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faik Seha having to interfere. Faik Seha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bican Boz in the 30th minute of play. Bican Boz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Faik Seha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, one of Babadag:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Babadag. When the match had been going on for 45 minutes, Eskisehir's Bahadır Suni got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Pekin Neyzen. The Eskisehir players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Babadag were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Şimşek Sökmensu to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Şimşek Sökmensu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pekin Neyzen was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Fahri Kuddusi scored 1-4 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Faik Seha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Babadag supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Babadag would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
