Fazıl Huzur kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Soma's Necat Babacan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hayri Yesar. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. Hayri Yesar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Necat Babacan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 11 minute of play. Adnan Hekimbaşı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayri Yesar having to interfere. With a little luck, Pilot's Hayri Yesar got control of the ball when Necat Babacan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mustafa Birol Bakırcı's late challenge caught a Pilot's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mustafa Birol Bakırcı helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Soma! In the 25th minute there was a penalty for Pilot. Fazıl Huzur stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Semi Bahadıroğlu. 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adnan Hekimbaşı in the 31st minute of play forced Pilot's goalkeeper Hayri Yesar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Yılmaz Ongun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pilot's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yılmaz Ongun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pilot's Hayri Yesar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Pilot from getting a goal against them. Necat Babacans short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Hayri Yesar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Adnan Hekimbaşı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Hayri Yesar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Soma got a freekick which was hit by Aktaç Namdar. Pilot's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fazıl Huzur in the 45th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Soma's goalie and right to Asaf Siraceddin. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Soma's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mustafa Hakan Kotuzhan to strike the kick off in the second half. Yılmaz Ongun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Semi Bahadıroğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Berat İnceman was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. Pilot's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Necat Babacan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hayri Yesar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adnan Hekimbaşı's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Hayri Yesar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adnan Hekimbaşı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Necat Babacan made a precise shot to the right of Hayri Yesar. Pilot's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Yılmaz Ongun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Pilot's goal looked a bit too open when Adnan Hekimbaşı came free, but Hayri Yesar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Necat Babacan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayri Yesar having to interfere. Hayri Yesar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adnan Hekimbaşı's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. If Necat Babacan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Soma had won after a very even match.
