Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Sapanca's Ahmet Ziya Sözen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Rüstem Ergüner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sapanca's Fazıl Hüsnü İzgi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adnan Aydın in the 4th minute of play. Elbistan's İskender Tanju proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Elbistan from getting a goal against them. İskender Tanju took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Ziya Sözen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fazıl Hüsnü İzgi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birkan Ocakçı in the 11th minute of play. Kılıçalp Alkın received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. İskender Tanju tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Birkan Ocakçı's late challenge caught a Sapanca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Birkan Ocakçı helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Elbistan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birkan Ocakçı to maneuver through the defense. When Erdal Vatansever fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elbistan's protests and gave Erdal Vatansever a yellow card for diving instead. If Ahmet Ziya Sözen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Ziya Sözen in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg İskender Tanju saved Elbistan from getting behind. In the 28th minute, Güntekin Öztürk made a precise shot to the right of Fazıl Hüsnü İzgi. Sapanca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. İskender Tanju stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Ziya Sözen's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Sapanca's Rüstem Ergüner got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Sapanca's goal looked a bit too open when Gürkan Balcan came free, but Fazıl Hüsnü İzgi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Elbistan's Gürkan Balcan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fazıl Hüsnü İzgi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After the first half Elbistan were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gürkan Balcan to strike the kick off in the second half. Mustafa Oğuz Revis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for İskender Tanju. Elbistan's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 59 minutes of play, Sapanca's Fadıl Talayman made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. İskender Tanju was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Sapanca fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Sapanca's Ahmet Ziya Sözen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Elbistan's zone, Halil Can Korgan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İskender Tanju came out of the goal and Halil Can Korgan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Sapanca booed when Elbistan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birkan Ocakçı didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Ahmet Ziya Sözen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but İskender Tanju was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. In the 76th minute of the match, Güntekin Öztürk got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fazıl Hüsnü İzgi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Gürkan Balcan took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Fazıl Hüsnü İzgi to make any attempt to save it. Halil Can Korgan kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Rüstem Ergüner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İskender Tanju having to interfere. İskender Tanju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Halil Can Korgan in the 94th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Sapanca failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
