The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sanliurfa. Orbay İhsan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ömür Okanay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gökçen Hafi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Tekin Masum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Afşin Çelebioğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Gölova JK booed when Sanliurfa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yavuz Selimhan Toker didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Gölova JK's Afşin Çelebioğlu got control of the ball when Orbay İhsan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Afşin Çelebioğlu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 22nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Orbay İhsan struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Afşin Çelebioğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sanliurfa. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Hurşit Tuğsan made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Ömür Okanay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 played minutes Gölova JK got a freekick which was hit by Güneş Satır. Orbay İhsan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 68 minutes, Gökhan Serhun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sanliurfa and the Gölova JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th match minute, Sanliurfa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gökhan Serhun to maneuver through the defense. Afşin Çelebioğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orbay İhsan, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gölova JK's zone, Orbay İhsan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afşin Çelebioğlu came out of the goal and Orbay İhsan tried to chip the ball over his head. In the 77th minute Tekin Masum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afşin Çelebioğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afşin Çelebioğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tekin Masum, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Sanliurfa's Orbay İhsan got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rdth minute of the game Tekin Masum who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gölova JK's Afşin Çelebioğlu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 87 minutes, Orbay İhsan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sanliurfa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orbay İhsan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orbay İhsan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afşin Çelebioğlu having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tekin Masum in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afşin Çelebioğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tekin Masum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afşin Çelebioğlu having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Sanliurfa failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
