Efespor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rami the free kick. Kubat Toprak kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Mehmet Halis Saatçioğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bedri Özgurcan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rami's zone, Can Kabak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Asım Özden came out of the goal and Can Kabak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th match minute, Efespor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İldeniz Övünç to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute Mehmet Halis Saatçioğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bedri Özgurcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Asım Özden made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Ayvaz Beycan sent off a good shot on target. Emanuele Pugliese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bedri Özgurcan having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ayvaz Beycan was the one to do the kick off. Can Kabak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asım Özden having to interfere. Asım Özden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ayvaz Beycan in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ayvaz Beycan in the 58th minute of play forced Rami's goalkeeper Asım Özden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Engin Babür came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Rami fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Engin Babür couldn't finish the play. Asım Özden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İldeniz Övünç in the 75th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Ayvaz Beycan made a precise shot to the right of Asım Özden. Rami's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0.
