In the 7th minute, Erzin's kaya Riva ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ahmet Necdet Şahan. Ahmet Necdet Şahan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Ali Emir Terzioğlu's late challenge caught a Samsun's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ali Emir Terzioğlu helped the player get up and apologised. The long shot by Anıl Cenk Uzgoren in the 13th minute really tested Ahmet Necdet Şahan's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ahmet Necdet Şahan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from kaya Riva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Vural Kemal fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Erzin's protests and gave Vural Kemal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Vural Kemal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hüseyin Turan Canay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viktoras Karagiannis in the 27th minute of play. Ahmet Necdet Şahan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from kaya Riva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samsun's Ahmet Necdet Şahan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by kaya Riva in the 30th minute of play. Mustafa Ekrem Mengüalp came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ahmet Necdet Şahan could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Erzin's zone, Kartal Yaban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hüseyin Turan Canay came out of the goal and Kartal Yaban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Viktoras Karagiannis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Viktoras Karagiannis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Hüseyin Turan Canay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmet Necdet Şahan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mustafa Ekrem Mengüalp in the 41st minute. After 43 played minutes Samsun got a freekick which was hit by Viktoras Karagiannis. An unexpectedly hard shot by kaya Riva in the 44th minute of play forced Samsun's goalkeeper Ahmet Necdet Şahan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when kaya Riva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, kaya Riva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 60 minutes, Mustafa Ekrem Mengüalp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erzin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mustafa Ekrem Mengüalp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If kaya Riva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 played minutes Erzin got a freekick which was hit by Ali Emir Terzioğlu. Ahmet Necdet Şahan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from kaya Riva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Necdet Şahan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from kaya Riva in the 85th minute of the match. If Kartal Yaban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Samsun's Viktoras Karagiannis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hüseyin Turan Canay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. kaya Riva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute.
