The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ahmet Nasir Atik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceyhan Uyar in the 3rd minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Firat's Ceyhan Uyar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ali Çağrı Raif made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hakkı Kenan Eroğul in the 32nd minute. Ali Çağrı Raif showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özdemir Temizalp in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Firat's goalkeeper Ali Çağrı Raif, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Özdemir Temizalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 41 played minutes Saskinbakkal got a freekick which was hit by Ali Hamza Tayfur. After 44 played minutes Saskinbakkal got a freekick which was hit by Yiğitcan Yenisey. In the 45th minute of the match Bahri Okseven sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmet Nasir Atik skillfully saved the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Özdemir Temizalp was the one to do the kick off. Ahmet Yahya Rikap hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Hazar Yenbu charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hazar Yenbu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Saskinbakkal getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Hazar Yenbu hit a great ball. Ceyhan Uyar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ahmet Nasir Atik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ceyhan Uyar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Nasir Atik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceyhan Uyar, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Saskinbakkal's zone, Mustafa Hamit Tolgan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Nasir Atik came out of the goal and Mustafa Hamit Tolgan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute, Yiğitcan Yenisey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
