Erkut Çelen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Şahap Şehzat when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Umur Oyalp scored 2-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mehmet Arif Tekmil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Kütahya SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ciguiza FC the free kick.
