Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Faruk Çağman took the kick off in the first half of the match. Menderes Tarık was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tayfur Vargın showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Ziya Ekabir managed to get in a good position for a shot. AJAX's supporters rose to their feet, but Ziya Ekabir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Menderes Tarık breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bülent Saik had several of the Cerrahpasa's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 12 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Menderes Tarık as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 16th minute, AJAX's Abdulhamit Temizkal seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Abdulhamit Temizkal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of AJAX protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Abdulhamit Temizkal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 16th match minute, AJAX was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdulhamit Temizkal to maneuver through the defense. Cerrahpasa's Selami Kaim got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bedri Rüstem didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paşa Tankut went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After 23 played minutes AJAX got a freekick which was hit by İnanç Eroğul. In the 26th minute Bülent Saik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Menderes Tarık saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ziya Ekabir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ziya Ekabir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ziya Ekabir got free with Menderes Tarık in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ziya Ekabir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Baransel Cesur fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cerrahpasa's protests and gave Baransel Cesur a yellow card for diving instead. Ziya Ekabir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Menderes Tarık having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Bülent Saik made a precise shot to the right of Menderes Tarık. Cerrahpasa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bülent Saik was the one to do the kick off. Bedri Rüstem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paşa Tankut in the 54th minute. In the 54th minute, Selahaddin Altunç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, AJAX's goalkeeper Bedri Rüstem had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paşa Tankut. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faruk Çağman in the 58th minute of play forced AJAX's goalkeeper Bedri Rüstem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute Ahmet Sedat Refiğ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bedri Rüstem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paşa Tankut could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Bedri Rüstem made a huge save. Bedri Rüstem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paşa Tankut in the 62nd minute. In the 66th match minute, AJAX was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tayfur Vargın to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Selami Kaim from long distance, 67 minutes into the match, got Bedri Rüstem's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ahmet Sedat Refiğ scored 3-2 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bedri Rüstem, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ziya Ekabir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Menderes Tarık having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Bülent Saik notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Cerrahpasa's Menderes Tarık. Menderes Tarık was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faruk Çağman in the 90th minute of play forced AJAX's goalkeeper Bedri Rüstem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Cerrahpasa's Hasan Toprak ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bedri Rüstem. Bedri Rüstem yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-4. The supporters of Cerrahpasa booed when AJAX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet İlhan Şanver didn't get a good kick on the ball.
