Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Yahya Kemal Yesari started the match with the kick off. Şahap Kutsel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ziya Ekabir in the 3rd minute of the match. Şahap Kutsel came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by AJAX's Ziya Ekabir. But to his dismay, Ziya Ekabir quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Şahap Kutsel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bülent Saik, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Malatya Sk's Şahap Kutsel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ziya Ekabir in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Malatya Sk's goal looked a bit too open when Bülent Saik came free, but Şahap Kutsel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Yahya Kemal Yesari fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bedri Rüstem, passed just outside the right post. Hüsamettin Malkoç hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, İsa Vasif made a precise shot to the right of Bedri Rüstem. AJAX's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After having played for 25 minutes, İsa Vasif managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malatya Sk's supporters crossed their fingers, but İsa Vasif was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 26 minutes, Selahaddin Altunç mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AJAX and the Malatya Sk players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, AJAX's Selahaddin Altunç got a free kick in the 26th minute. With an all-out effort, Malatya Sk's Bedri Rüstem threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Yahya Kemal Yesari, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Malatya Sk's Şahap Kutsel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ziya Ekabir in the 30th minute of play. Servet Sadik's late challenge caught a AJAX's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Servet Sadik helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of AJAX booed when Malatya Sk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Servet Sadik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bedri Rüstem was a little too slow when İsa Vasif got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 3-1. Selahaddin Altunç kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bülent Saik made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ziya Ekabir ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Şahap Kutsel was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. İsa Vasif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bedri Rüstem having to interfere. AJAX's Selahaddin Altunç got his second yellow card of the match in the 65th minute. The referee ordered Selahaddin Altunç off the ground. 68 minutes in the game Garip Semih did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Hüsamettin Malkoç. Bedri Rüstem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ufuk Hanedan in the 74th minute of the match. After 74 played minutes AJAX got a freekick which was hit by Abdulhamit Temizkal. Yahya Kemal Yesari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute, Murat Rical hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Şahap Kutsel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bülent Saik in the 84th minute of the match. AJAX's Bedri Rüstem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ufuk Hanedan in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to AJAX getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Abdulhamit Temizkal hit a great ball. Mahsun Mürsel might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bedri Rüstem. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mahsun Mürsel ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute of the match Mahsun Mürsel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bedri Rüstem skillfully saved the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Malatya Sk fans cheered their team off the field, for while AJAX had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
