In the 6th minute, Halil İbrahim Kurtaran made a precise shot to the right of Bahri Mümin. Bahcekapi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Bahri Mümin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mahir Keyfer, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İbrahim Efe Eyüp in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdulaziz Uğurata saved GaLaTaSaRaY from getting behind. Ali Ömer Kiray kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After 16 minutes GaLaTaSaRaY's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rahim İltemur who took care of the corner kick. İbrahim Efe Eyüp did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Abdulaziz Uğurata 18 minutes into the match. If İbrahim Efe Eyüp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orhun Alpman's late challenge caught a Bahcekapi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orhun Alpman helped the player get up and apologised. Orhun Alpman hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Aşır Özduru got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 32 played minutes, Bahcekapi's Rahim İltemur shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abdulaziz Uğurata came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bahcekapi reached it. In the 35th match minute, Bahcekapi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Koralp Akasoy to maneuver through the defense. Halil İbrahim Kurtaran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Bahri Mümin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute İbrahim Efe Eyüp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdulaziz Uğurata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. İbrahim Efe Eyüp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdulaziz Uğurata having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. İbrahim Efe Eyüp was the one to do the kick off. The referee ignored GaLaTaSaRaY's protests and gave Göksun Ümit a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, GaLaTaSaRaY's Göksun Ümit got a free kick in the 69th minute. Abdulaziz Uğurata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İbrahim Efe Eyüp in the 73rd minute of play. When İbrahim Efe Eyüp came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Bahcekapi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İbrahim Efe Eyüp couldn't finish the play. 79 minutes into the match, Bahcekapi's goalkeeper Bahri Mümin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Halil İbrahim Kurtaran. Rahim İltemur was slow to take the kick. During this time Bahcekapi's players had a chance to rest. Rahim İltemur made a great header on Bahcekapi's corner, it was just that GaLaTaSaRaY's Abdulaziz Uğurata managed to reach the ball for a save. If Aşır Özduru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bahcekapi.
