Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kerimhan Rıfat got the match started through his kick off. If Kerimhan Rıfat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eray Uçkun hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Robert Trnečka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karşıyaka S.K's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Trnečka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tanju Afşaroğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hayrat's Tanju Afşaroğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Trnečka in the 28th minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Hayrat's Batu Hafızoğlu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bahadırhan Siyami made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Batu Hafızoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Karşıyaka S.K's zone, Batu Hafızoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bahadırhan Siyami came out of the goal and Batu Hafızoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kerimhan Rıfat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Bahadırhan Siyami tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Batu Hafızoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Hayrat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Batu Hafızoğlu couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Karşıyaka S.K's Eray Uçkun got a free kick in the 55th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Karşıyaka S.K's Robert Trnečka nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tanju Afşaroğlu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Bahadırhan Siyami took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kerimhan Rıfat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the game, Kamuran Adışanlı was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Karşıyaka S.K's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hayrat the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerimhan Rıfat in the 72nd minute of play forced Karşıyaka S.K's goalkeeper Bahadırhan Siyami to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute of the match Erdoğan Nasip shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bahadırhan Siyami showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 79thth minute of the game Kerimhan Rıfat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karşıyaka S.K's Bahadırhan Siyami was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ahmet Ziya Şahoğlu took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bahadırhan Siyami. Bahadırhan Siyami dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 86th minute, Batu Hafızoğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hayrat fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the 90th minute, Hayrat's Kerimhan Rıfat dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Tanju Afşaroğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Trnečka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 96 minutes, Hızır Gazzali mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hayrat and the Karşıyaka S.K players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hızır Gazzali kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hayrat eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
