In the 10th minute Arkın Ünveren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reha Taran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rıfat İley got free with Sait Birsen in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rıfat İley might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sait Birsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rıfat İley ran back to his position shaking his head. If Rıfat İley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 played minutes MehmetHan got a freekick which was hit by Nejat Sözen. In the 33rdth minute of the game Zekeriya Salcan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MehmetHan's Reha Taran was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tarsus JK's zone, Şeref Açıker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sait Birsen came out of the goal and Şeref Açıker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Rıfat İley kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sait Birsen. That made the score 2-1 in the 37 minute of play. After a rather tough play, MehmetHan's İlmi Kurman got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute Arkın Ünveren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reha Taran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reha Taran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arkın Ünveren, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. In the 49th minute Zekeriya Salcan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reha Taran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Şeref Açıker to strike the kick off in the second half. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sait Birsen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sait Birsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rıfat İley in the 86th minute of the match. Şeref Açıker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Şeref Açıker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sait Birsen was relentless in the 99th minute of the game. When the referee ended the match the MehmetHan players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
