The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kıvanç Tengizalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berker Ulunay in the 19th minute of the match. Peştemalcı SK's Çetin Gök was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nuri Seferoğlulları in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mürsel Sağınç in the 29th minute of play forced Peştemalcı SK's goalkeeper Kıvanç Tengizalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Olavo Penha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peştemalcı SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azdavay the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Peştemalcı SK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty!
