Serkan Akçal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Halis Babacan came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Güney fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Halis Babacan couldn't finish the play. Alphan Erez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikail Tümer, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Meriç Tuncal put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alphan Erez. If Ejder Songurhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mikail Tümer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Serkan Akçal to make the kick off. Meriç Tuncal was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Mustafa Barış Enginalp's late challenge caught a Güney's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mustafa Barış Enginalp helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Karaman got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Barış Enginalp. In the 66th match minute, Güney was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Meriç Tuncal to maneuver through the defense. After 68 played minutes Güney got a freekick which was hit by Işıkalp Eroğuz. Alphan Erez was a little too slow when Mikail Tümer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 2-3. Alphan Erez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mikail Tümer went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. After 82 played minutes Güney got a freekick which was hit by Halis Babacan. Güney's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
