Egemen Cevar was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 18 minutes into the match. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Muratli SK! Efe Habiboğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vehdi Şahbaz kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. A hard shot by Coşkun Tuygun from long distance, 38 minutes into the match, got Ahmet Davut Sarıdoğan's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Batur Zoral in the 42nd minute of play forced İstanbul Juniors FC's goalkeeper Halit Atacan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Batur Zoral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Efe Habiboğlu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sungur Gökalp hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Batur Zoral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Halit Atacan. İstanbul Juniors FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Batur Zoral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After having played for 67 minutes, Orhun Yağızkurt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. İstanbul Juniors FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orhun Yağızkurt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. İskender Akburçak hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. When Orhun Yağızkurt fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored İstanbul Juniors FC's protests and gave Orhun Yağızkurt a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Muratli SK booed when İstanbul Juniors FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orhun Yağızkurt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Efe Habiboğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. İstanbul Juniors FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Efe Habiboğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Esen Sidal during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Muratli SK getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Anıl Arda Türköz hit a great ball. Muratli SK's Ahmet Davut Sarıdoğan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efe Habiboğlu in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute, one of Muratli SK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Muratli SK. In the 90th minute, Coşkun Tuygun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The İstanbul Juniors FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Batur Zoral might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Halit Atacan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Batur Zoral ran back to his position shaking his head. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. İstanbul Juniors FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Muratli SK for much of the match.
