Mehmet Anıl Yiğitkan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yüce Salah in the 12th minute of the match. Ahmet Oğuz Bayraktaroğlu made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Andaç Sami sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of kayseri booed when Kulu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yüce Salah didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Kulu's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ünal Kahya fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpected shot in the 23rd minute by Andaç Sami got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Volkan Taceddin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Volkan Taceddin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Anıl Yiğitkan having to interfere. A collision led to kayseri getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Hilmi Gençoğlu hit a great ball. Gürbüz Onursal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Gürbüz Onursal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mehmet Anıl Yiğitkan. kayseri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gürbüz Onursal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ünal Kahya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Volkan Taceddin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mehmet Anıl Yiğitkan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The kayseri players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kulu were winning 0-1.

When Yüce Salah fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kulu's protests and gave Yüce Salah a yellow card for diving instead. kayseri's Mehmet Anıl Yiğitkan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürbüz Onursal in the 55th minute of play. Volkan Taceddin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Anıl Yiğitkan having to interfere. Mehmet Anıl Yiğitkan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gürbüz Onursal's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Ünal Kahya cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ahmet Oğuz Bayraktaroğlu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mehmet Anıl Yiğitkan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Volkan Taceddin in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute Ünal Kahya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Oğuz Bayraktaroğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gürbüz Onursal really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. The Kulu supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kulu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
