When Cavit Sabir came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Yenifakili fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cavit Sabir couldn't finish the play. Kubilay Vefa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan having to interfere. Cavit Sabir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Edip Rakim managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when FeNeRBaHCe's Sezgin Toktuğ fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kubilay Vefa's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Kubilay Vefa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cavit Sabir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Kubilay Vefa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 38 played minutes FeNeRBaHCe got a freekick which was hit by Özal Aybar. Cavit Sabir took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan. Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Cavit Sabir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes into the match, FeNeRBaHCe's goal looked a bit too open when Cavit Sabir came free, but Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Abdulmelik İnanoğlu made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Ünsal İldemir was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FeNeRBaHCe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yenifakili the free kick. After recieving a nice pass, Yenifakili's Şerafettin Patlar tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Yenifakili's Kubilay Vefa in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FeNeRBaHCe's goalie prevented a goal. Edip Rakim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdulmelik İnanoğlu in the 61st minute of play. Kubilay Vefa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FeNeRBaHCe's Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save FeNeRBaHCe from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute Kubilay Vefa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kubilay Vefa in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan saved FeNeRBaHCe from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Yenifakili's Bora Zeki got a free kick in the 75th minute. The supporters of FeNeRBaHCe booed when Yenifakili was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adem Kurtaran didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Yenifakili's zone, Abdulmelik İnanoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edip Rakim came out of the goal and Abdulmelik İnanoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute Sezgin Toktuğ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edip Rakim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The goalkeeper, Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan, was totally fooled by Yenifakili's Şerafettin Patlar, who 89 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 94 minutes into the match, Cavit Sabir had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan. FeNeRBaHCe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cavit Sabir was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Yenifakili's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
