In the 7th minute of the match, Ahmet Seyfi Varol tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Atabey Budak saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Atabey Budak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Seyfi Varol in the 7th minute of play. Eralp Toktuğ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Atabey Budak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. GalataSaray FK's 杜伟文 quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Selahaddin Eryetiş, made in the 12th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Eralp Toktuğ could shoot a difficult shot in the 25th minute, which Atabey Budak however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of GalataSaray FK booed when Gondül was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Selahaddin Eryetiş didn't get a good kick on the ball. Şahin Dolunay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olgun Talik went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After the first half GalataSaray FK were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute, Olgun Talik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Olgun Talik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GalataSaray FK's 杜伟文 quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Selahaddin Eryetiş, made in the 61st minute of the game. A collision led to Gondül getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Selahaddin Eryetiş hit a great ball. Gondül's Şahin Dolunay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Bilge Korcan in the 63rd minute of play. Atabey Budak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Seyfi Varol in the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd match minute, Gondül was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Kağan Midilli to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Seyfi Varol in the 82nd minute of play forced GalataSaray FK's goalkeeper Atabey Budak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the GalataSaray FK defense, Ahmet Seyfi Varol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Atabey Budak. The GalataSaray FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Atabey Budak should have stopped the shot. Olgun Talik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Eralp Toktuğ had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Atabey Budak. GalataSaray FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eralp Toktuğ was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. When Ahmet Seyfi Varol fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gondül's protests and gave Ahmet Seyfi Varol a yellow card for diving instead. Şahin Dolunay was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kubilay Kayrahan. When the referee ended the match the Gondül players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
