FENERBAHÇE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balat JK the free kick. A collision led to FENERBAHÇE getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Bora Canbolat hit a great ball. Davut Sedat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Recep Tezveren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Davut Sedat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Recep Tezveren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Recep Tezveren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kazım Uçman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Davut Sedat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Recep Tezveren having to interfere. Balat JK's Hasan Hüseyin Karlukhan got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, FENERBAHÇE's goal looked a bit too open when Hasan Hüseyin Karlukhan came free, but Recep Tezveren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Davut Sedat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balat JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davut Sedat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute Davut Sedat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Recep Tezveren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, one of FENERBAHÇE:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FENERBAHÇE. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ergin Sabancı was the one to do the kick off. When Davut Sedat came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Balat JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davut Sedat couldn't finish the play. Recep Tezveren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hasan Hüseyin Karlukhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Abdulhamit Aktaşoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ergin Sabancı in the 65th minute of play. Ergin Sabancı's late challenge caught a Balat JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ergin Sabancı helped the player get up and apologised. Recep Tezveren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hasan Hüseyin Karlukhan in the 78th minute of play. Recep Tezveren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davut Sedat in the 79th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Hasan Hüseyin Karlukhan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Recep Tezveren, 0-1. When Necaettin Akçiçek fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balat JK's protests and gave Necaettin Akçiçek a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Balat JK getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Necaettin Akçiçek hit a great ball. Bora Canbolat got his second yellow card in the match during the 96th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 97th match minute, FENERBAHÇE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bora Canbolat to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Balat JK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FENERBAHÇE throughout the match.
