Abay Eğriöz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ahmet Korcan Altuğ having to make a save. When Fazlı Ökmen fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mut FK's protests and gave Fazlı Ökmen a yellow card for diving instead. If Ahmet Sedat Ulusan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Halit Fahri Kotuzhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Halil Can Durusoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. If Nazil Pekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Halit Fahri Kotuzhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Sedat Ulusan in the 18th minute of the match. The referee ignored Mut FK's protests and gave Gencer Naşit a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mut FK getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Gencer Naşit hit a great ball. If Halil Can Durusoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nazil Pekin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Mut FK defense, Nazil Pekin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ahmet Korcan Altuğ. The Mut FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ahmet Korcan Altuğ should have stopped the shot. Ahmet Sedat Ulusan might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Halit Fahri Kotuzhan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Sedat Ulusan ran back to his position shaking his head. Halit Fahri Kotuzhan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 64th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Kasım Vedatoğulları. Ahmet Sedat Ulusan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Halit Fahri Kotuzhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Halit Fahri Kotuzhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Sedat Ulusan in the 73rd minute of play. In the 76th minute, Ceyhun Sezal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Sedat Ulusan in the 82nd minute of play forced Kütahyaspor's goalkeeper Halit Fahri Kotuzhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Halil Can Durusoy came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Mut FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Halil Can Durusoy couldn't finish the play. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kütahyaspor fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mut FK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
