The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by İskender Baki Evvel during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mihalgazi JK booed when Erenköy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. İskender Baki Evvel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 8 played minutes Mihalgazi JK got a freekick which was hit by Kamber Hepyener. In the 9th minute, Arcan Yetişen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Mihalgazi JK defense, Rasim Kadi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samim Yordam. The Mihalgazi JK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samim Yordam should have stopped the shot. Boran Ergintuğ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Boran Ergintuğ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Rasim Kadi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd play minute Boran Ergintuğ came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mustafa Arif Zakir. 1-1. Mihalgazi JK's Samim Yordam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rasim Kadi in the 26th minute of play. When Rasim Taşkan came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Mihalgazi JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rasim Taşkan couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Erenköy booed when Mihalgazi JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamber Hepyener didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arcan Yetişen in the 38th minute of play forced Mihalgazi JK's goalkeeper Samim Yordam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rasim Taşkan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Arcan Yetişen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mustafa Arif Zakir came out of the goal and Boran Ergintuğ tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samim Yordam made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Arcan Yetişen sent off a good shot on target. If Mehmet Ediz Rekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rasim Taşkan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atalan Nazil, 96 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
