Poyraz Şemseddin came out and tried to block the shot, but Ant Yoran slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 8th minute. 13 minutes into the match, AnadoluSpor's Bülent Güleryüz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kerim Tanzer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, AnadoluSpor's Poyraz Şemseddin got control of the ball when Nurkan Cihanmert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kerim Tanzer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bülent Güleryüz in the 23rd minute of the match. Turabi Cumali's late challenge caught a AnadoluSpor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Turabi Cumali helped the player get up and apologised. When Hakan Çağlayan fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Şıkır Team's protests and gave Hakan Çağlayan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Şıkır Team getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Hakan Çağlayan hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Atilla Tarkan Akdamar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kerim Tanzer. Şıkır Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Atilla Tarkan Akdamar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. A collision led to Şıkır Team getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Turabi Cumali hit a great ball. Cevher Akar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kerim Tanzer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilla Tarkan Akdamar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bülent Güleryüz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Kerim Tanzer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half AnadoluSpor were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bülent Güleryüz to make the kick off. Bülent Güleryüzs short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Kerim Tanzer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 55 minutes into the game, Ahmet Hamdi Rıfkı was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Şıkır Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AnadoluSpor the free kick. After 55 played minutes Şıkır Team got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Hamdi Rıfkı. A hard shot 58 in the game by Bülent Güleryüz from a close distance when the talented Kerim Tanzer managed to make a qualified save. Şıkır Team's players were relieved. 60 minutes into the match, Bülent Güleryüz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kerim Tanzer. Şıkır Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bülent Güleryüz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Şıkır Team's Kerim Tanzer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilla Tarkan Akdamar in the 72nd minute of play. Kerim Tanzer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bülent Güleryüz went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Mustafa Yaşar Safa hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The supporters of Şıkır Team booed when AnadoluSpor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakkı İşcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kerim Tanzer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilla Tarkan Akdamar in the 86th minute of the match. AnadoluSpor's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
