The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Sarp Ersunal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Muharrem Zade in the 8th minute of play forced Rumelikavagi FK's goalkeeper İrfan Torlak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Muharrem Zade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İrfan Torlak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Muharrem Zade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İrfan Torlak having to interfere. İrfan Torlak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Muharrem Zade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Güvenç Ülke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but İrfan Torlak made a huge save. In the 21st minute Muharrem Zade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İrfan Torlak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mehmet Edip Suer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Muharrem Zade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ferdi Camcıoğlu fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Genc's protests and gave Ferdi Camcıoğlu a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes Genc got a freekick which was hit by Ferdi Camcıoğlu. After 40 minutes of play, Genc's Güvenç Ülke made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. İrfan Torlak was left in no man's land by his defense there! İrfan Torlak was a little too slow when Muharrem Zade got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

İrfan Torlak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muharrem Zade in the 53rd minute of the match. Abdulmelik Onat kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Genc's Muharrem Zade got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. İrfan Torlak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muharrem Zade in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Edip Suer in the 67th minute of play forced Rumelikavagi FK's goalkeeper İrfan Torlak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehmet Edip Suer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute, Güvenç Ülke made a precise shot to the right of İrfan Torlak. Rumelikavagi FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Güvenç Ülke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İrfan Torlak having to interfere. If Muharrem Zade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. İrfan Torlak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Güvenç Ülke, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After having played for 88 minutes, Muharrem Zade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Genc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Muharrem Zade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alkan Orhan hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Muharrem Zade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
