The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fuat Koçarslanoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erdinç Aksel in the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the game, Bayındır Mehmet Afak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Doğuş Özkutal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Doğuş Özkutal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bayındır Mehmet Afak went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 25thth minute of the game Erdinç Aksel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KıRMıZı KaRTaLLaR ☾☆'s Fuat Koçarslanoğlu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bayındır Mehmet Afak got free with Doğuş Özkutal in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ferdi Urluk struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Fuat Koçarslanoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ÇiTLiKYUNAYTID. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erdinç Aksel was the one to do the kick off. Alpertunga Bahçeli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fuat Koçarslanoğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Namık Şafakgün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
