Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) RRU61's Sezer Rikap started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Asaf Tekalp hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Aktan İltemur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sezer Rikap, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, İstanbul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sezer Rikap came free, but Aktan İltemur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When İstanbul FC's Oğuz Halıcı in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye RRU61's goalie prevented a goal. Güntekin Zaik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oğuz Halıcı in the 25th minute of play. When Arda Göksel Eraltay came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the RRU61 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arda Göksel Eraltay couldn't finish the play. If Oğuz Halıcı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Sezer Rikap got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of RRU61 booed when İstanbul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafet Turkay didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oğuz Halıcı stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Oğuz Halıcı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute, Arda Göksel Eraltay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RRU61 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Güntekin Zaik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oğuz Halıcı in the 60th minute of play. Aktan İltemur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arda Göksel Eraltay in the 63rd minute of the match. 2-0 became the score in the 65th minute when Sezer Rikap elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Murat Selim Canıtez hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sezer Rikap in the 74th minute of play forced İstanbul FC's goalkeeper Aktan İltemur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 76 played minutes RRU61 got a freekick which was hit by Hakkı Deniz Teren. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 78th minute, when İstanbul FC's Tamer Uyguralp after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Güntekin Zaik in RRU61's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Asaf Tekalp kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Oğuz Halıcı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 85 minutes, Arda Göksel Eraltay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RRU61's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arda Göksel Eraltay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in RRU61's zone, Oğuz Halıcı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Güntekin Zaik came out of the goal and Oğuz Halıcı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the match, RRU61's goalkeeper Güntekin Zaik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Feyzullay Necati. After some careless play in the İstanbul FC defense, Arda Göksel Eraltay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aktan İltemur. The İstanbul FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aktan İltemur should have stopped the shot. RRU61's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
