Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 2 minutes into the game, Ali Kürşat Çol cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tayyip Güdü was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Atabey's zone, Mutlu Özbey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karhan Ulualp came out of the goal and Mutlu Özbey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the game, Bayram Saltar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lapseki's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atabey the free kick. Atabey's Ali Kürşat Çol got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karhan Ulualp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mutlu Özbey in the 29th minute of play. Zühtü Hacısalihoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th match minute, Atabey was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sait Bakkalbaşıoğlu to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atabey's goalkeeper Karhan Ulualp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tayyip Güdü took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Kürşat Çol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Zühtü Hacısalihoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cavit Baydar was the one to do the kick off. After 59 minutes of play, Atabey's Ali Kürşat Çol made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tayyip Güdü was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 67th minute, Mutlu Özbey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute, Aydın Ülger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atabey's Karhan Ulualp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Cengiz Talip in the 81st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Ali Kürşat Çol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atabey's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Kürşat Çol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tayyip Güdü breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Cavit Baydar came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Atabey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cavit Baydar couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Atabey booed when Lapseki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aydın Ülger didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes in the game, Cavit Baydar fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tayyip Güdü having to interfere. If Ali Kürşat Çol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tayyip Güdü showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cavit Baydar, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute, Lapseki's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ali Kürşat Çol fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cavit Baydar struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Tayyip Güdü didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atabey.
