Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hüseyin Turan Ferikoğlu in the 7th minute of play forced Gölbasi's goalkeeper İlbey Onursu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rüstem Kalagay struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. İlbey Onursu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kabadüz SK. If Hüseyin Turan Ferikoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fazıl Hüsnü Bozdoğan hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, Kabadüz SK's goalkeeper Özkan Ayberk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sümer Baysungur. Yusuf Ziya Akyıldız fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özkan Ayberk having to interfere. In the 28th match minute, Kabadüz SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fazıl Hüsnü Bozdoğan to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yusuf Ziya Akyıldız stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Hüseyin Turan Ferikoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kabadüz SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hüseyin Turan Ferikoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rüstem Kalagay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ahmet Yahya Başdaş fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gölbasi's protests and gave Ahmet Yahya Başdaş a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66thth minute of the game Sümer Baysungur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kabadüz SK's Özkan Ayberk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Kabadüz SK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
