The crowd rose to their feet as Andaç Yalım kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sadri Tüzün. That made the score 1-0 in the 46 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andaç Yalım was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Anamur got a freekick which was hit by Lütfi Çimen. In the 53rd minute Andaç Yalım shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sadri Tüzün saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 minutes, Güner Felek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elazigspor and the Anamur players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sadri Tüzün made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Tuncer Tümkurt kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Güner Felek struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Sadri Tüzün didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elazigspor. Sadri Tüzün showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Güner Felek, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Elazigspor's zone, Şeref Mensur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uğur Ersavaş came out of the goal and Şeref Mensur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Uğur Ersavaş stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Şeref Mensur's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. There was no doubt that Elazigspor were the better team. Elazigspor's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
