If Akgün Elçi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kutay Altunhan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ersan Akatay's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Ersan Akatay notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mazgirt SK's Kutay Altunhan. Kutay Altunhan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rize SK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tuncer Sidar in the 14th minute. Aşkın Rehber made a great header on Rize SK's corner, it was just that Mazgirt SK's Kutay Altunhan managed to reach the ball for a save. After 15 played minutes Mazgirt SK got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Nedim Secaat. 19 minutes into the match, Mazgirt SK's goal looked a bit too open when Ersan Akatay came free, but Kutay Altunhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kutay Altunhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Akgün Elçi in the 21st minute of the match. In the 23rd match minute, Rize SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tuncer Sidar to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Mazgirt SK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rize SK:s goal. Kutay Altunhan had in the 28thth minute some difficulties stopping Tuncer Sidar's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Kutay Altunhan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tuncer Sidar went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 30th minute, Abdulaziz Sefa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmet Nedim Secaat was extremely unlucky when he, in the 31st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Kutay Altunhan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ersan Akatay's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Kutay Altunhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ersan Akatay in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Ersan Akatay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rize SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ersan Akatay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Kamuran Cansal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Barışcan Özkaya to strike the kick off in the second half. Kutay Altunhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ersan Akatay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute Ersan Akatay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kutay Altunhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rize SK's Ayberk Bakkalbaşıoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barışcan Özkaya in the 67th minute of play. The supporters of Mazgirt SK booed when Rize SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdulaziz Sefa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 78 played minutes Mazgirt SK got a freekick which was hit by Hasan Tellioğlu. After a defensive mix-up in Mazgirt SK's zone, Akgün Elçi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kutay Altunhan came out of the goal and Akgün Elçi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Rize SK booed when Mazgirt SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hasan Tellioğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Akgün Elçi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Kutay Altunhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Nedim Secaat in the 89th minute of play forced Rize SK's goalkeeper Ayberk Bakkalbaşıoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kutay Altunhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ersan Akatay in the 93rd minute of play. If Ersan Akatay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match was over Rize SK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mazgirt SK throughout the match.
