Ecevit Rikap charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ecevit Rikap the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, Van was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ecevit Rikap to maneuver through the defense. Berkan Müslim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Şakir Recai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Şakir Recai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hayri Acarbay, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. When Yağız Özgurcan fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Van's protests and gave Yağız Özgurcan a yellow card for diving instead. Yağız Özgurcan kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Hayri Acarbay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Şakir Recai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Şakir Recai came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Hekimhan FK's Hayri Acarbay. But to his dismay, Hayri Acarbay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Berkan Müslim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hekimhan FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Berkan Müslim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Şakir Recai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Berkan Müslim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Şakir Recai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to Van getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ali Hamza Kapkin hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berkan Müslim in the 33rd minute of play forced Van's goalkeeper Şakir Recai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Berkan Müslim made a precise shot to the right of Şakir Recai. Van's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Atakan Güdü could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Ayhan Türek made a huge save. Berkan Müslim struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Şakir Recai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hekimhan FK. In the 46th minute Hayri Acarbay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şakir Recai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 48 minutes, Hayri Acarbay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hekimhan FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hayri Acarbay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ahmet Sedat Turatekin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Şakir Recai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hayri Acarbay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Van's zone, Berkan Müslim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Şakir Recai came out of the goal and Berkan Müslim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute Hayri Acarbay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şakir Recai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hayri Acarbay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şakir Recai having to interfere. In the 68th minute of the game, Necip Konuralp landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Van's Yağız Özgurcan got his second yellow card of the match in the 68th minute. The referee ordered Yağız Özgurcan off the ground. In the 70th minute, Yağız Özgurcan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 73 minutes, Berkan Müslim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hekimhan FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berkan Müslim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Berkan Müslim notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Van's Şakir Recai. Şakir Recai was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 79th minute, Berkan Müslim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Şakir Recai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berkan Müslim in the 89th minute. Hekimhan FK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
